A statewide tour is bringing free, short courses to Augusta, Athens and Savannah about how artificial intelligence can be successfully applied in the workplace.

Emory University’s Center for AI Learning, in partnership with the metro-Atlanta Rowen Foundation and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, continues “AI + You: Save Time, Earn More and Thrive with AI” through September.

With AI’s increasing surge into the world’s economy, health care and social life, this program “is designed to ensure that every Georgia community member has the opportunity to embrace the potential of AI and quickly learn how to use it,” according to the center.

“There are so many benefits to learning how artificial intelligence can improve your work and life,” says Joe Sutherland, director of the Center for AI Learning and the program’s leader. “Our mission is to ensure that people across Georgia have access to skill-building resources that are comprehensive, accessible, affordable and flexible, allowing everyone — regardless of industry, position or experience — to access best-in-class training.”

The events will be at local city and county chambers of commerce and at technical colleges. The Georgia Chamber has coordinated local hosts for the events and to promote the program to its membership.

The Athens session will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Athens Coca-Cola Bottling Co., 640 Athena Dr.

The Augusta session from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19 at Augusta Tech, 3200 Augusta Tech Dr.

The Savannah session’s time and location has not yet been confirmed.
