Rowen Phase 1 Construction Update

As part of Rowen Phase 1 construction, Reeves Young will conduct a short phase of rock excavation and blasting along the south side of Drowning Creek Rd just east of Tanner Road and the Porches Way intersection, beginning the week of 6/19 through 7/14. Blasting is expected to occur on weekdays between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., with drilling and jack hammering associated with the rock-clearing process also occurring during this window.

Reeves Young has conducted resident outreach to the affected homeowners, with inspections and pre-blast surveys underway.

The blasting is necessary for installation of a water line along Drowning Creek Road. Any blasting will be within legal limits for vibration as determined by Georgia law.

The Rowen Foundation will keep the public posted with regular updates on construction activity, upcoming major milestones and any future impacts to roadway access in and around the site.
