Rowen Construction Update

April 17, 2023

As of Thursday, April 13, 2023, Drowning Creek Road has been closed between Tanner Road and Old Freeman Mill Road. To accommodate interruptions to residents’ day-to-day commutes, Gwinnett County has identified two detours:

• Highway 316 to Old Freeman Road, by way of Turkey Crossing, Harbins Circle and Lawrence Road
• Highway 316 to Tanner Road and Winder Highway, by way of Harbins Road

These closures are expected to last five months. Please click the below map for more details on detour routes.

The Rowen Foundation will continue to keep the public posted with regular updates on construction activity, major progress milestones and any future impacts to roadway access during Rowen’s Phase 1 roadway construction.
